2010 Gratitude Challenge - Day 22

Today I am grateful for 'mulligans'...for do-overs. In a sense that is what being a Christian is about at least in part- it is the ultimate mulligan. You screw up, you ask for grace from Jesus our Savior, and guess what? He gives it to you! It wasn't always that way. Before He came and saved the world, there were offerings, sacrifices and work that had to be done in an effort to 'make up' what you had done. But not so anymore. He came and paid the price. The fact that we get our do-overs does something in our heart. We don't want to rush out and just do more wrong. We want to get to know Him better so that we become more like Him and have less of a need for the mulligan! We love more because we are loved.

God bless on this Thanksgiving!

I'd be toast without the grace of God and the gift do-overs.

That is true! Christianity is the only faith where mulligans are allowed! Definitely a reason to be thankful!
